Microtechnology is a set of techniques, processes, and tools used to produce structures that contain minimum one dimension of a practical feature in order of the micrometer, which are about 6 to 10mts or one-millionth meter or one micrometer.   Generally, within the range of 10-7 to 10-4 meters and the function of those structures are more complicated systems. In 1970, Scientists discovered that by collecting large numbers of a microscopic transistor on one single chip, microelectronic circuits may be constructed to improve the performance, reliability, and functionality, by increasing the volume and reducing cost. This expansion led to the IR (Information Revolution).

Recently scientists have found that not just electrical devices, but also mechanical devices can be reduced and batch-fictional, capable of providing the same benefits to the mechanical world as ICT (Integrated Circuit Technology) has provided to the electrical world. However, electronics now offer the intelligence for present products and systems, and micro-mechanical tools can offer the actuators and sensors, the ears, eyes, feet, and hands that combine to the outside world.

Currently, micromechanical machines are the major components in a large range of products like ink-jet printers, automobile airbags, projection display systems, blood pressure monitors. It looks like not in this near future these tools will be as persistent as electronics.

Microtechnology is the use of tiny or compact technical devices. It holds space micro devices, microcomputer parts, microelectronics, and microsurgery. Both microfiche and microfilm that store information on the film, are also examples of microfiche, microtechnology store more than microfilm. The word micro is originated from the Greek word micros which means small.

Technology is the function of inventions and discoveries to obtain goals or to meet needs. Microtechnology has the returns of taking up minimal space, using less functional material at a very affordable price.  Original manufacturing of small machinery needs reapplication or reinvention of available technology, a qualified manufacturer and exact manufacturing conditions.  The small tool is easy to transport and it is not very expensive to store and transport,

Computer microtechnology:

After the computers are invented, the engineers started to make improvements that enhanced computer functions and reduced the size of the computer. Current computers have various microcomputer components; the main one is the microprocessor, a kind of microchip. It has the entire computer CPU on a single chip.

Microchips are available in different sizes and they are actually smaller than 2 sq mm. They are made of a piece of semiconducting material like germanium or silicon and they have cretin electrical characteristics.
